IRAN: Govt writes to European Union foreign policy chief

The Iranian government's top nuclear negotiator Saiid Jalili has written a letter to the European Union's foreign policy chief Javier Solana, unnamed sources were cited as saying by Iran's official news agency IRNA. The two-page letter, described by the sources as "very important" outlines Iran's position on the West's sanctions over its nuclear programme. Iran's Ambassador to Brussels Ali Asghar Khaji was due to deliver the letter to Solana on Monday, IRNA reported. Iran could end its cooperation with the United Nations nuclear watchdog over its atomic programme, MP Mousa Ghorbani told IRNA last week...(AKI).
