Iran reportedly plans to introduce an amendment to the Peace Pipeline project that would allow Tehran to reduce gas supplies to Pakistan. Tehran has proposed a new clause be added to the Gas Sales Purchase Agreement of the Iran-Pakistan-India (IPI) gas pipeline project, allowing the country to reduce its gas exports to Pakistan if supplies to India are willfully disrupted by Islamabad, Pakistan's Daily Times reported.
Press Trust of India (PTI) reported on Saturday that Iran has suggested the amendment out of concerns over a possible armed conflict in the region.
